Lingnan Kindergarten and Nursery (Siu Sai Wan) is a non-profit making private kindergarten. It provides free early childhood education and lies under the Lingnan Education Organization which provides an “all through” education from nursery, kindergarten, secondary school to university.

The kindergarten and nursery has a spacious environment, well-furnished and equipped with abundant facilities. It is a free-standing building with five classrooms, one physical activities playground, one kitchen, a male and a female toilet.

The teachers in the school are of high-quality. They received professional training in Early Childhood Education and are well-experienced. They are also loving and teach students with
patience and care.

The school puts emphasis on joyful learning, cultivating good moral development and enabling children grow in a loving environment. Our school incorporates multi-intelligence teaching methods. Teachers design interactive games such that children can learn through playing games. These games refer to specific learning topics which are closely related to daily life. Children can also learn crucial knowledge, skills and positive attitude through interesting and challenging games. The school facilitates all-rounded development among young children, including aspects such as moral, intelligence, physical, social, artistic and spiritual growth. This helps children to construct a good learning attitude which is an important stepping stone for children’s future learning. After completing nursery and kindergarten education in the school, children can easily adapt and integrate into the primary school education system.

The school also puts importance on the cooperation between families and school. Parents have multiple ways to communicate with the school. Other than the Parent-teacher association, the Parent-teacher forums, Parents Day, Parent Observation Day and Student term report enables parents to understand children’s performance at school. Teachers also closely communicate with parents to understand children’s individual learning needs such that teachers and parents can work together for the well-being of the children.

The Lingnan Kindergarten and Nursery has been established for 27 years. Its education incorporates Christianity, the Lingnan spirit and follows the guidelines from the Kindergarten Curriculum of the Education Bureau. It has great achievement throughout the years and has nurtured many elites in the society. From its establishment to present moment, the school has followed the Lingnan education spirit which is to develop children’s potential by learning through games, and has helped children to have an overall development in the six areas — moral, cognitive and language, physical, affective and social, aesthetic and spiritual.
